Don Bosco taught me how to endure hard situations

I am Marifel Eseo Espiritu, 25 years old, single mother of a 1 year old daughter, Althea. I went to Don Bosco Calauan, Batch 3, 2018-2019. Before I enrolled to Motorcycle Small Engine Servicing (MSES), I became a viand vendor to support our everyday expenses. My daughter and I are living with my parents at Paliparan, Calauan, Laguna. I am grateful that I have my parents who supports me, they are also the reason I continued my studies at Don Bosco.

During my studies, I’ve learned that I have developed my own skills even though these skills are known for men only. I always taught myself that I am also capable of man’s work. Don Bosco taught me how to endure hard situation especially when I started my Supervised In-Plant Training (SIPT) at KTM company located at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. I was separated with my daughter for a short period of time and it taught me how to be independent and strong.

I finished my SIPT in 5 months and I thank God that I am continuously working here at KTM. I started as Lady Mechanic and after 2 months I became a Service Advisor. I am looking forward that this coming April 2020, I will be regularized. This is one way to support my daughter and my parent’s needs.
