Don Bosco Tech International TVET Conference: Global Trends, Sustainability, Digital Transformation, and Social Inclusion
The Don Bosco Tech International TVET Conference, held from September 5-8, 2024, at Don Bosco Technical Institute Makati, was nothing short of groundbreaking! With a rich theme of “Skills Development in a Transformative World: Embracing Resilience, Innovation, and Inclusivity,” the event attracted influential speakers and thought leaders from around the world, creating a truly global dialogue about the future of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

Her presentation highlighted how TVET institutions could drive environmental sustainability by preparing students for the green economy.Mr. Bilal Muhammad Khan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) discussed the role of digital transformation in TVET. He emphasized how the integration of technology is reshaping vocational training, making it more accessible and responsive to modern industry demands.Ms. Iris Joy Tayag from the UNHCR Philippines focused on gender equality and social inclusivity within TVET. Her speech encouraged the empowerment of marginalized groups, ensuring equal opportunities in education and employment.
